Membership & Benfits |
Arts Club members pay annual dues of $60, which entitles them to participate in any Club events, and to use the amazing studio facilities at the Lester B. Pearson Civic Centre, Highway 108, Elliot Lake. A well-equipped weaving studio is situated on the first floor with several 4-harness looms (including a 60 inch), one 8-harness loom and a tapestry loom available for members. Additional work tools include a warping mill, bobbin winders, various shuttles, bobbin lace cushion, a large work table and a reference library. Also on the first floor is the pottery studio, equipped with wheels and an electric kiln. A large multi-purpose studio is located on the third floor, equipped with work tables, chairs, Praga printing press, print drying rack, glass grinder, and plenty of space to run workshops and meetings. Members are more than willing to share expertise and friendly assistance as needed. Members may have a photo of their work displayed and a link to their own websites or e-mail addresses on the Member Profiles section of the Arts Club website. ARTSCOOP is our regular newsletter that keeps the membership up to date with current activities of the membership.
